Annie founded LAVA in 2002 with the belief that creativity benefits from solid collaboration. With clients that range from television, large venue events to technical explainer videos, Annie and her team bring fresh innovation and award winning design. Since its first broadcast, Annie has work featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (SYN), which has earned two Emmy Awards (2004/2006) for Outstanding Main Title Design.
When not behind the keyboard, Annie is working in the field as a licensed psychologist and consultant. She has been on the board of directors of non-profit organizations, including the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles (GPALA), The Maple Counseling Center Alumni Association (TMCC) in Beverly Hills, and recently joined the International Advisory Board for No Bully in San Francisco and the executive board of the Redwood Psychological Association in Sonoma County. In 2016, Annie was appointed to main title design chair of the Advisory Committee for the Daytime Emmy Awards/National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). Because, teamwork.
